Are you accepting new patients?

Yes. You can schedule your initial evaluation directly through the booking page.

How are appointments conducted?

All appointments are fully remote via secure video through our EMR system, Practice Q. You'll receive a link via email before your scheduled visit. Please make sure you're in a quiet, private space with a reliable internet connection.

What should I expect at my first appointment?

Your initial evaluation is 90 minutes. We'll review your history, discuss your current symptoms and how they're affecting your life, clarify your diagnosis, and build an individualized treatment plan together. Our conversation is guided and collaborative, so you don't need to prepare or know exactly what to say. I'll ask thoughtful questions while giving you plenty of space to share what's most important to you. If medication is appropriate, we'll discuss your options in detail before anything is prescribed.

What are your fees?

Initial evaluations are $300 (90 minutes). Follow-up medication management visits are $150 (30 minutes).

Why is this a self-pay practice?
The self-pay model allows me to offer longer appointments, maintain a smaller caseload, and make treatment decisions based on your clinical needs with more flexibility and fewer administrative barriers. Many patients also appreciate the added privacy of care that stays between them and their provider.

Can I use my insurance at all?

Sage Meadows Mental Health is an out-of-network, self-pay practice. Superbills are available through your patient portal, which you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Reimbursement varies by plan and is not guaranteed.

When is payment due?

New patients pay at the time of booking. Established patients are charged at least 24 hours before their scheduled appointment. You may securely store a card on file for automatic billing. If you cancel or reschedule more than 24 hours in advance, a full credit or refund will be issued.

What are your office hours?

Patient appointments are typically available Tuesday through Thursday, 8:00–11:00 AM and 12:30–3:30 PM MST. I monitor my inbox and respond to patient messages on Mondays and Fridays as well, though I typically reserve those days for administrative work.

How often will I be seen?

That depends on where you are in treatment. Most new patients are seen within two to four weeks of their initial evaluation. From there, visit frequency is based on your clinical needs. Some patients benefit from more frequent visits during medication changes or periods of increased symptoms, while others may extend to every 8–12 weeks once they feel stable. We'll discuss follow-up timing at every appointment, and sooner visits are available if needed.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations or reschedules made more than 24 hours in advance are fully accommodated with a refund or credit toward a future appointment, whichever you prefer. Late cancellations (fewer than 24 hours) and missed appointments result in forfeiture of the appointment fee.

What if I'm running late?

If you're more than 8 minutes late, the appointment will be marked as a no-show, and will need to be re-scheduled. Repeated missed appointments may result in discharge from the practice.

Do you take time off?

I take approximately 4–6 weeks off per year, which will be planned and communicated to existing patients well in advance. If I'm away for more than one week, I will arrange for messaging coverage during my absence. Any unexpected closures due to illness or other emergencies will be communicated as soon as possible.

What if I need help between appointments?

Although I am not able to offer 24/7 or crisis services, I aim to respond to all patient messages within 1–2 business days.

If you are experiencing a psychiatric emergency or believe you are in crisis, please call 911, go to your nearest emergency department, or contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.

Do you prescribe medications?

Yes, when clinically appropriate and after collaborative discussion. I walk you through the reasoning behind any recommendation, including expected benefits and potential side effects. The decision to take medication always belongs to you. Please note that this practice does not prescribe DEA-controlled substances such as stimulants or benzodiazepines.

Do you offer therapy?

I incorporate supportive and psychoeducational approaches into every medication management visit, and many patients find our conversations valuable beyond medication alone. However, I am a psychiatric provider specializing in medication management; I am not a therapist. For patients who would benefit from regular psychotherapy sessions, I recommend working with a licensed therapist and am happy to assist with referrals.
